Happy Summer.............................

Where does the time go. Any day now I will be chasing around 2 munchkins. Harper is growing so fast. Her new talent is pulling herself up and letting go. She doesn't stand for long unassisted but I am surprised that she is not 8 months yet and she is attempting this. Then there is the biting - you have to be on your toes with this one. She likes to chew on your clothes but if your skin gets in the way she doesn't care. Reagan continues to be a great big sister and then some. I have proof that she kicks Harper in the head. Reagan ran into something and her toe got cut and I found a little bit of blood in Harper's barrette. When I do catch Reagan beating on Harper she gives her a kiss on her butt or her head. I wonder why she chooses those 2 places. They do love to laugh at each other and they both continue to make me laugh. We are having fun and enjoying the summer in San Diego.

Scorpions, Snakes and Lizards - Oh My...............

So we live on top of a canyon and we are getting a lot of wannabe pets. They tend to commit suicide in our pool. I just hired a gardener (b/c there is no way I want to come face to face with these guys - I am a bit scared of our yard) and he put up some tight chicken wire and hopefully that will prevent these critters from entering our yard. The little lizards and I are coexisting and even though they still freak me out I am starting to get use to them.

Harper is not aspiring to be a pirate. She can see great we are just doing preventive measures to help her sight out and hopefully prevent a lazy eye. She only has to wear the patch for an hour a day and it doesn't bother her at all. We just received a great report yesterday so it sounds like it is working. She is now crawling and she pulled herself up for the 1st time the other day. Once she got to the standing position she seemed stuck so she hasn't tried it again - oops she knew I was talking about her and she just did it again. She can clear a room in no time and she tends to get herself stuck under the kitchen table often. She is an eager beaver and we are anticipating an early walker. Reagan is great motivation. Phil needs to start thinking about blocking the stairs again.

Reagan is hilarious and her vocabulary continues to grow. She now repeats what is said on tv so we really have to watch what we watch. We tend to keep it on the Disney Channel (I cannot stand most cartoons and I can tolerate most Disney shows - I CANNOT stand Nickelodeon's shows). We tape all of Little Einsteins so that is Reagan's favorite and she loves when they sing at the end - she joins in on the clapping and patting. We just went to our first baseball game of the season and Reagan had her first nachos which was a big hit. Her shirt was covered in cheese sauce good think I stock up on those stain sticks. She loves pointing out puppies even if they are just in pictures. We stood outside the pet store for awhile because she was so excited about the pictures of puppies on the outside windows. She also enjoys pointing out big trucks and buses. The school bus stops in front of our house so that is a big hit. Reagan is also a big help around the house; she loves helping unload the dishwasher (she likes to unload the dirty dishes and if the bottom rack is empty she takes it out - Oh and she always stops the cycle when I am running it); she helps feed Harper (she jams the bottle in her mouth and when I say something she takes the bottle and runs - it is a fun game), she also enjoys giving Harper a bath (she turns the shower on - Harper is not a big fan), she is a big help with laundry (she likes putting dirty clothes in the dryer with clean clothes), she helps fold the laundry (she rolls the clean clothes into a ball and then throws them on the floor), and how can I forget she helps clean the carpet (she gets the diaper wipes and takes them all out and uses each one to wipe the floor - we need to remember to put those wipes out of Reagan reach which grows every day). =)

Happy Spring.........

As you can see Harper is getting use to the camera - so it has been a productive month. The highlight of the month is purchasing a house. We are fully moved in so feel free to visit anytime. Harper is hitting milestones at a rapid pace. She has 2 teeth and is sitting up unassisted and she is only 5 months. Reagan is now having conversations with us we just wish we knew what she was saying. Puppy is her new favorite word even if one is not around and her new favorite phrase is "no way". The new house is rather large and she enjoys running around, chasing Stella and screaming at the top of her lungs. Harper has finally moved out of our bedroom and into a crib all her own. She still doesn't sleep throughout the night every night so we (I) am still getting little sleep but it is nothing that a couple cups of coffee can't handle. The girls and I just got back from Michigan where both of them had a blast. Enjoy the pictures click here

Harper's first taste of cereal

Reagan and Harper are growing so fast. Harper is rolling over which makes her upset especially in the middle of night. She will flip at night and if/when she wakes she doesn't like her position and hollers. We are still lacking sleep and if we get lucky she will sleep until 6 those are her good days. She isn't even on a schedule when she wakes, it can be anywhere between 1 and 6. I have been begging Reagan to give Harper some pointers on how to sleep through the night. I have also pleaded with Harper to sleep and she just laughs at me.

Reagan is a true comedian and a little devil. She knows the word "no" and she knows what she isn't suppose to do. For example, she knows she shouldn't touch Breyer's water dish and she will stand next to and say "no, no, no, no" and look at me and I say your right. Then she starts splashing in the water and continue to say "no, no, no, no" and look up at me and give the biggest grin. The girl mocks me.

They both are a lot of fun and Harper adores Reagan and Reagan adores Harper. So far so good........ Reagan still isn't huge on taking pictures with Harper she prefers the solo shots but I get lucky every now and then.

Looking for a place to call home..........

Never knew how frustrating and disappointing home shopping could be. Finally after 2 solid months of dragging Reagan and Harper to check out dozens of homse our offer was accepted by the seller and now we just have to cross our fingers that the bank accepts it. Short sales stink because we now have 90 DAYS before we can even think about leaving this box we call home. The kicker is we had to purchase the some furniture in the home, if there is anyone who would like some bulky furniture lets us know and we will give you a good deal. So once we close i will have to either sell the furniture on craigslist or donate it then repaint and carpet the house. Ugh but I will have time since I will officially be unemployed as of February 28th. Bad subject but lets just say it doesn't pay to have babies and try to maintain your job. I have become that statistic.

Onto better topics. Our darling little girls. How different can they be. Miss Tiffany at Reagan's daycare calls them salt n' pepper. One blonde and one brunette. It looks like Harper is keeping her mass amount of brown hair. She hasn't grasp the camera yet like her big sister who has become the ultimate poser. Reagan is such a little person and it is crazy how she understands and knows what she wants. It is amazing that just a year ago she was like Harper who depends on you for everything. It is crazy what a year does. Harper is doing well unfortunately the weather has been warm/hot during the day and cool/cold in the morning and night which bring the cold season to Reagan's daycare and our home so both of the girls have been suffering through congestion. Poor Harper (and poor mom & dad) can't sleep through the night. Hopefully I will become more on top of this blogging soon so it won't be a month before you here from us again

Reagan had a rough first month with being a big sister. The bratty stage lasted about a month and now our sweetheart is back, THANKFULLY. She is finally adapting and loves her little sister. She can even say Harper. If you ask her who it is she responds with Harper. Harper is becoming more and more alert everyday, we have forgotten all about these mini milestones that infants go through.
