Happy Thanksgiving/Merry Christmas/Happy New Year...........

We stayed in San Diego this year for the holidays.  It was just the four of us during Thanksgiving so I decided to partake in Black Friday.  I was all revved up for it.  I was on the hunt for just a couple of things.  Since I am a night owl and not an early bird I was going to start at midnight and begin at Toys r us at 9 pm on Thanksgiving.  Since I need wine for my Thanksgiving dinner I told Phil we will have Thanksgiving on Friday instead.  Phil protested for me not to go and hang out with the crazies but there was no talking me out of it.  Being the rookie that I am I decided to leave for Toys rus at 9 not get there at 9 because I didn't want to rush the doors.  That was my first dumb mistake I got there and the line was wrapped around and I waited in line until almost 11 before getting in.  I wasn't in a panic because I figured that since it was a 2 day sale they would be stocked on the princess couches I was getting for the girls (they were 50% off so it was like buy one get one free).  They didn't have even one left.  I wasn't in a panic since I was going to Temecula's mall b/c they opened at midnight.  I got to the mall first (second stupid mistake should have gone to toysrus first) and did my thing.  There were tons of teenagers, unbelievable amount.  I went to Starbucks (3rd stupid mistake) because I had a free drink coupon and I needed to reload since it was 1:30 am and I waited in line for 30 + minutes because the 30 teenagers in front of me had to order frappucinnos.  That was extremely frustrating and it took so much strength not to yell at the teenagers for ordering their stupid drinks.  Then I went to toysrus and they had one couch left (yeah!!!) but to not let toysrus defeat me I pulled my phone (fourth stupid mistake) and found another toysrus 11 miles away in Lake Elsinore.  It was 3:30ish and when I got 4.6 miles away from my exit in the middle of nowhere I saw the swerving of cop cars with their flashers on.  There had been an accident.  I was so close to the accident that I had already passed a exit.  I was stuck on the highway in the middle of nowhere for 3 + hours.  I didn't get home until 8 am and I vowed NEVER to do Black Friday again.  It just wasn't worth it to save $25 to be stuck on the highway.  Phil now has permission to restrain me if I ever attempt to try it again.  That was my Thanksgiving.  Ugh

Aunt Sandra is AWESOME - she was coming in town for work and I convinced her to come early and go to Disneyland with us.  I don't think she will ever step foot in Mickey Land again.=)  It was an absolute zoo.  Wow there were people everywhere.  We found out Harper likes to go fast.  We went on the teacups and Harper was helping Aunt Sandra go faster while Reagan laid in my lap.  Thanks again for spending the day at the happiest place on earth!!

We went to Sea World's celebration which was a lot of fun.  Except for the little girl that wanted to take Reagan on.  We saw her twice and the first time she kept telling Reagan and Harper "no" and not let them look at some Christmas lights.  Her parents did nothing so I just took the girls away.  Then as we were heading back to the entrance we saw this little brat again and she came running up to Reagan and chest bumped her and said something in another language, once again the parents did nothing.  I live in the land of stupid tourists.

I also had free passes to Legoland and the big kid that daddy is had to go to the Kings Castle playland.  I think Phil could spend all day there - good thing the kids like it too.

We kept busy during the holiday season.  We even made it to Children's mass at Reagan preschool which was so nice and kid friendly.  I was impressed.

Harper now has bangs..................

I couldn't take it anymore.  She refuses to keep barrettes in her hair and after a week of a cold with constant runny nose and snot everywhere it was time to cut it.  She didn't cooperate at all but she still is cute.

The Cheetah............

One of the great things about living in San Diego is all the animal parks.  The Safari Park was very exciting recently.  My camera is NOT on zoom and this is how close we got to the cheetah.  Reagan took the pictures.

There are some more photos of Harper's bday outing at the mall too  click here
